Are you tied to one insurer?
No. We are an independent broker working across a panel of insurers, including a few that specialise in coastal and flood-exposed property. If the best option for you is to stay where you are, we will say so and tell you why.
What does a cover check cost?
Nothing, and it carries no obligation. If you later ask us to place cover, we are paid by commission from the insurer, or by a fee agreed with you in advance for more complex commercial work. You will see which applies before anything is placed.
How quickly can new cover start?
For a straightforward home or boat policy, often the same working day once we have your documents and the insurer has accepted the risk. Commercial cover with surveys or specialist liability usually takes a few working days.
Can you help if the property has flooded before?
Frequently, yes, though the terms depend on the claim history and any work done since. Send us the dates, the cause and what was repaired. Honest detail usually produces better terms than a vague answer, and it protects the claim later.
What do you need from me to start?
Your current schedule, the renewal date and a claims history for the last five years. For trade cover, add your turnover band and a short description of the work. For boats, the mooring and winter arrangements.
Do you deal with the claim, or do I?
We log every claim with the insurer. On Harbour and Full Isle we also prepare the submission, chase the loss adjuster and keep a written record of what was agreed. You still speak to the insurer where they require it, but you are not doing it alone.
What happens when the policy renews?
We hold your renewal date in a diary and start the review before the invitation arrives, so a quiet price increase does not become the default. You see the comparison again, and nothing renews without your instruction.
